New Welcome Ministry
We are blessed to have new families register with our parish every week and we need to make sure we are doing a great job of welcoming them to our church! We want to develop deeper relationships with our new members and make them feel welcome and “at home.” To do this we have created a Welcome Ministry. If you are an individual or a family and you would like to mentor newly registered members, we could use your help! As a mentor, you would introduce yourself at an initial meeting, sit with your new member(s) at Mass every so often, answer any questions they might have about the parish, and, in general, just be a guide for them in their first year at St. Anne. God commands us: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” What a wonderful opportunity this could be to grow in your faith by following God’s directive to love your (new) neighbor! If you or your family would like to sign up, please call or email Kimberly Kaup in the parish office at 706-561-8678 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Be A Catechist!
Over 200 children will sign up this fall to learn more about Jesus and the Catholic faith. You can help them learn and grow by becoming a catechist for Religious Education. As you nurture the faith of our youth, you will learn and grow as well! As one long-time catechist put it, “I learn so much from the children!” We provide you with training, materials, and support. Classes run September-May on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a catechist, contact Suzanne Zimmermann at 706-561-8678 or email@example.com.
