Catholics In Action (CIA) High School Youth Group

Grades 9-12

CIA is a high school youth group open to 9th-12th graders. Prayer, community service and Catechism are a part of our meetings. You'll have plenty of time to mingle with each other playing pool, ping pong, foosball, as well as other games that might be planned for the night.

During the school year, we'll meet in the Youth Room on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 6 until 8 p.m. This time may vary according to trips and other off campus activities. Each year a religious and/or community service theme is chosen to focus on throughout the year. An average meeting will begin with prayer time followed by large or small group activities. There is always plenty of social time to be with old friends and to establish new friendships. Refreshments are always available.

The high school group has been involved with the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) which is held in a different location every other year. We have been to Kansas City, St. Louis and Indianapolis. We've attended several World Youth Days (WYD), traveling to Toronto, Canada in 2002 and Cologne, Germany in 2005. Plans are being made for a group to attend the upcoming NCYC, which will be held again in Indianapolis in November 2011!

There is always something going on with the Youth Group.
